Historic St. Mary’s City’s tall ship Maryland Dove will represent Southern Maryland as part of the SAIL250 Maryland & Air Show Baltimore celebration taking place June 24 through 30, 2026.
Join the fun at the Community, Culture & Cuisine event from 11am to 4pm Saturday, June 27, 2026, by the Lexington Park Business Association and St. Mary’s County Arts Council! The event will be held in St. Mary’s Square on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, MD.
Leadership Southern Maryland is accepting applications for its Emerging Leaders Program, or LEAP, a six-month leadership academy for early- and mid-career professionals living or working in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.
Young artists are invited to explore fine arts this summer through St. Clement’s Island Museum’s Art Kids classes. Participants will experiment with different forms of art, including drawing, painting, simple weaving, sculpting, and other hands-on projects.
The Greenwell Foundation’s guided kayaking program is back. Paddle offerings have been expanded with more dates, new discounts, extra activities, and even more chances to get out on the water.

Nominations are being accepted for The Patuxent Partnership’s 2016 Member of the Year award. The deadline is April 14.
College of Southern Maryland will be the venue for the Lego Robotics Championship on April 8, 2017, and volunteers are needed to help out on the day of the event. The Patuxent Partnership has put out a call to members to be a part of the event.
In honor of Women’s History Month, The Patuxent Partnership, Leadership Southern Maryland, and Women in Defense welcome Stephanie Hill, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems Cyber, Ships, and Advanced Technologies. She will speak March 30.
