All Maryland residents and visitors can fish without needing a fishing license, trout stamp, or registration on June 13 and July 4.

The lower Potomac water temperature is 38 degrees F – usually the season for oyster boats to be prowling, but the pandemic has brought no demand for oysters and low prices. But a lot of the Chesapeake Bay birds and ducks are back for the season.
Visit St. Mary’s MD will invest over $30,000 in the next five months in local promotion and over $200,000 in regional marketing. These promotional efforts will be funded by grants from the state of Maryland earmarked for marketing and promotions of St. Mary’s County as a travel destination and for the promotion of local businesses to residents and visitors.
