SMECO Issues Credits to Members
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative is refunding members’ capital credits totaling nearly $7 million. Of that total, a general refund of approximately $4.6 million will be issued in July.

Wheeler Seeks Clerk of Circuit Court
Faye Wheeler is running for Clerk of the St. Mary’s County Circuit Court. The Clerk’s office records land deeds, mortgages, plats, conveyances, and other precious documents; administers oaths; issues business and marriage licenses; and performs civil marriage ceremonies.
Two Primary Candidate Forums Set
Two 2022 Primary Election candidate forums will be held at the Lexington Park Library on June 22 and 29. A meet-and-greet will occur from 5 to 5:30 pm and each forum will begin at 5:30 pm.
