Students Tour Engineering Labs
Students at the College of Southern Maryland who are majoring in engineering recently took a tour of the class and lab facilities at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, getting a first-hand look at where they can spend their junior and senior years as University of Maryland students.
SMHEC Open House Set for March 31
The Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, MD, offers world-class education from more than 90 degree programs and will be showcasing these programs at an Open House March 31, 2016 4-7 pm at the campus located at 44219 Airport Road, in California. The open house will include representatives of the degree programs which include bachelor completion degrees, doctorates, and more than 50 master’s degrees. Enrollment Open for Salisbury Program at SMHEC
The enrollment deadline is approaching for students who want to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center (SMHEC). Applications for fall 2016 classes offered by Salisbury University will be accepted until Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Higher Ed Center Expands Engineering Options
University of Maryland’s juniors and seniors in Electrical Engineering can finish their degrees right in St. Mary’s County. The Southern Maryland Higher Education Center is partnering with UMCP’s A. James Clark School of Engineering to offer the undergraduate degree.
Cybersecurity Degrees Offered at SMHEC
