Museum Offers Free Admission for Moms on Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day, May 10, Piney Point Lighthouse Museum will offer free museum admission for moms during normal operating hours 10am to 5pm. Please note regular admission prices apply to others in the party: $7 for adults; $3.50 for children (6 to 18), seniors, and military; and free for those 5 and younger.

The Old Jail Museum & Leonardtown Visitor Center will be open. Admission is free.

The St. Mary’s County Museum Division will offer cruises on Mother’s Day to St. Clement’s Island State Park aboard North Star Charters. Visitors are invited to enjoy a scenic trip to the island along with access to the historic Blackistone Lighthouse.

Tickets are $7 per person for visitors of all ages and include a free tour of the lighthouse and round-trip transportation to and from the island.

The first cruise departs from the mainland at 10am, and the final cruise departs from the mainland at 2pm. The final return trip from the island to the mainland departs at 3pm.
