Museum Activities This Week
Looking for some family fun this week? St. Mary’s County museums present special events and exhibits during the holiday season.
Piney Point Lighthouse Museum‘s holiday exhibit will run until Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 10am to 5pm. Join the museum for a family friendly exhibit where visitors can tour the museum, lighthouse, and historic park.
Admission is $7 for adults; $3.50 for seniors, students, and military; and 5 and younger free.

St. Clement’s Island Museum is hosting its annual Christmas Doll & Train Exhibit daily until January 1, 2025, from 10am to 5pm. Families can enjoy a holiday exhibit of antique and collectible dolls such as Barbie and American Girl, classic trains, and other vintage toys in this festive holiday display.
The cost for this exhibit is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and military, $1.50 for children, and 5 and younger are free.

Old Jail Museum
Built in 1876 and in use until 1945 by the oldest sheriff’s office in the nation, this building is the sixth of eight jails/prisons in St. Mary’s County history. One of four sites in St. Mary’s County on the Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Trail. Take a tour of this fascinating historic site.
Admission is free. The museum is open 10am to 5pm daily.
