Join in the Veterans Day Parade Nov. 11

Registration is now open for those wishing to participate in the 46th annual Veterans Day Parade in Leonardtown. Floats, bands, schools, scouts, clubs, cheerleaders, bikes, vintage cars, and horses are some of the entries that will be accepted.

The parade will step off at 10 am Thursday, November 11, 2021, from St. Mary’s Ryken High School. The line of march will proceed along Fenwick Street to the Leonardtown Town Square. The event provides an opportunity to honor veterans, participate in a proud tradition, and promote your group.

Information regarding event guidelines are included with the forms.

Entry forms should be returned to Ms. Pennington by Friday, October 22. Entries received after that date will not be accepted.

 

The St. Mary’s County Historical Society is the repository of a unique collection of Maryland memorabilia and museum pieces displayed on the first floor of Tudor Hall and in the Old Jail Museum at 41625 Courthouse Drive in Leonardtown. The 18th-century Tudor Hall also serves as headquarters of the society and houses the Historical Society’s Research Center.
