Airborne Network Event Coming

The Southern Maryland AFCEA chapter invites members of the public, business, and base communities to the “Airborne Networking: Challenges and Solutions” Symposium at the Solomons Holiday Inn Jan 31 – Feb. 1. The goal of this symposium is to help members of the broader community (government, industry, and academia) better understand the issues and opportunities of Airborne Networking and to see where they can engage to help make a difference.

The event will include speeches, panels, and reception with key presentations by:

  • VADM David Architzel, Commander, Naval Air Systems Command
  • RADM William Shannon, Program Executive Officer for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons
  • RADM David Dunaway, Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force
  • Mr. David Hager, Chief Engineer, Integration Communications and Information Systems Division
  • Ms. Sherri L. Schornstein, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Fraud & Public Corruption Section, Counterfeit Part Task Force
  • Mr. Randy Morris, Director, Ship & Shore Based Electronic Systems, NAWCAD St. Inigoes
  • Mr. David Narkevicius, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Networks and Information Integration
  • LTCOL Samantha Helwig, Joint Staff, Spectrum Perspectives (J65A)
  • Mr. Edwin Marston, Defense Information Systems Agency, Global Information Grid Enterprise Service Engineering

Proposed panels include:

  • Integration and Interoperability
  • Tactical Data Enterprise Services Migration
  • Information Assurance

Expected attire is business casual or military uniform of the day. Attendees must be U.S. Citizens.

Note: The name you use when registering will also be used for your name badge.

The event is being sponsored by Defense Acquisition University, Booz Allen Hamilton, SAIC, CACI, Teradata and Sabre Systems. Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) through the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) are available for participants attending both full days of this event (4 CLP credits per day).
