Students Can Apply for NAWCAD Workshop

Workshop

The 2026 Functional Areas of Business summer workshop will be offered at Naval Air Station Patuxent River from June 22 to 25. The Patuxent Partnership is helping to publicize the opportunity for students.

This is an unpaid opportunity for rising high school juniors, seniors, and 2026 high school graduates to explore a variety of business disciplines supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.

The application window will close February 27. Application directions can be found here.

A limited number of students will be accepted into the program; therefore, students must be able to commit to the duration of the workshop: June 22 to 25 from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Students will gain knowledge in areas of Logistics, Comptroller, Procurement, Program Management, Security, Human Capital Management, and Safety and will reinforce their learning with hands-on activities and on-station tours.

Students will be given the opportunity to hear from NAWCAD hiring managers and supervisors, as well as a panel of entry-level employees. They will learn about entry points into working for the government via intern and developmental programs.
