Mike’s Goes Down

A crew from the Great Mills Trading Post moved in Wednesday to take down Mike’s Bar, leaving nothing but  a memory behind. The building is the second one razed on Great Mills Road this month, using funds raised by the Community Development Corporation. The old Besche gas station on the corner of Chancellor’s Run Road was demolished Dec. 7. Both demolitions are part of a continued effort to improve the appearance of the community and create opportunities for new commercial development along Great Mills Road.
