Where in the World Says Bon Voyage to JefClarkArt
Posted by JefClarkArt Choose LocalThe day has arrived. JefClarkArt is taking a (much deserved) sabbatical from the Where in the World Is That? photo contest after eight months of challenging readers from far and near to pinpoint the where and the what of various shots taken across Southern Maryland, Washington, Baltimore and as far away as New York City.
It has been incredibly fun to engage readers both known and unknown and to see how quickly some of you jumped to get in the winning bid before being scooped by others. The loyal readers – you know who you are – were what kept this experiment going. We had a couple of repeat winners such as Chris N and Jim D and lots of people claiming prizes from the archives of JefClarkArt. We have had a couple of fans from North Carolina, several from Washington, lots from St. George Island. Several have remained anonymous.
The editors of LexLeader are working on concepts for a reconfiguration of Where in The World is That — or WitWit as some have taken to calling the photo contest — so stayed plugged in to see what direction things take.
As for JefClarkArt, Jeffrey is packing it with him to the vast highlands of Ethiopia where it might be expected he will take hundreds (if not thousands) of shots of a proud and ancient civilization. You might see some of those shots in this space at a future date. (You WILL see them if Jeffrey sends them here!! Editor.) Of course you can see a wide representation of his photos at the website JefClarkArt.wordpress.com; all shots seen there are available for purchase at incredible prices.
So, thanks, everyone. It has been a great ride. We’ve covered a lot of ground, but now it is someone else’s turn. For this finale edition of the contest we are posting a small series of photographs for your viewing pleasure – without anticipating guesses being submitted. The shots are a farewell thank you from JefClarkArt.
