If you’re looking for a girls’ night out in a relaxed and creative atmosphere, grab a friend and head to Annmarie Gardens on Monday,  March 17, to create textured goblets and candlesticks with a sea or floral theme. Decorate your work with colorful glazes for the perfect finishing touch!

After you master the goblets, come back on March 24 to create woven clay platters or baskets. You can bring food and beverages and use clay slabs to create your own serving ware or decorative piece!

These classes, taught by Sarah Houde, take place from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, in the colorful and creative artLAB located in the Arts Center building. This class is adults only and reservations are required. Cost is $75 per person for members or $80 per person for non-members, all materials are provided.

Looking for fun, educational “field trips” for your child?

If you want to foster your child’s artistic talents, break up the daily routine a little, and even learn, Art + Story Sessions are the perfect day trip. These hour-long story times with instructor Joanne Paskoff teach basic art elements, styles, and even a little art history with wonderful children’s books, imaginative games, and inventive art projects. Each student comes away with a matted artwork and a greater appreciation of all things artistic. This class is designed for children ages four to six, with a member cost of $8 per child, per session. Nonmember cost is $12 per child, per session. The next session is on Wednesday, March 19, from 10:30-11:30. Sign up now as space is limited.
