Water Taxi Now Running to St. Clement’s Island

St. Clement's

The St. Clement’s Island Museum water taxi is now providing transportation between the museum site in Colton’s Point and St. Clement’s Island State Park on the Potomac River.

While service has begun, the vessel is currently operating under temporary restrictions, including a limited passenger capacity, and visitors are strongly encouraged to call ahead to confirm availability before traveling.

Tickets are $7 per person for visitors of all ages and include round-trip transportation to and from the island. The first cruise departs from the mainland at 10am, and the final cruise departs from the mainland at 2pm. The final return trip from the island to the mainland departs at 3pm.

Blackistone Lighthouse on the island will be open on select days; call for details.

Tickets can be purchased at the Annex Building next to the parking lot while the new St. Clement’s Island Museum building is being constructed nearby.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to call 301-769-2222 before visiting to confirm water taxi operations, current passenger capacity limitations, and seat availability. Temporary operating restrictions remain in effect, and weather or other extenuating circumstances may result in schedule changes or cancellations.

For more information regarding hours of operation, programs, admission prices, and more, call the museum at 301-769-2222 or click here.
