The FAA did not select Maryland as one of the six test sites for commercial unmanned aviation systems, but officials say a cooperative agreement among the University of Maryland, Rutgers and Virginia Tech, which is one of the selected sites, can strengthen development of collaborative commercialization efforts in Southern Maryland, reports Southern Maryland News.
