Transfer Process Gets Easier

Transfer

Site Director of Florida Tech SoMD Dr. Robert Schaller, left, and CSM President Dr. Bradley Gottfried, right, are joined by recent CSM graduate AnnaBelle Sanders, senior site administrator for Florida Tech in Southern Maryland. Sanders will be the first CSM graduate to take advantage of this newly established 2+2 Bachelor of Science transfer degree program in logistics management.

The articulation agreement between the College of Southern Maryland and Florida Institute of Technology has been revised to create a seamless transition for students in CSM’s associate degree programs in arts and sciences, general students business administration, or business administration-technical management to the bachelor degree in logistics management at Florida Tech.

The two schools signed their revised agreement May 20.

With this agreement, CSM graduates within those four degree programs will be able to transfer into Florida Tech’s complete program as college juniors. The bachelor of science logistics management program is taught in Lexington Park and California, MD, in a face-to-face classroom format by professors who are professionals in their fields.

The Florida Tech degree creates students who can manage a company’s flow of goods, information, and resources for customers, stakeholders, and suppliers. This career is in high demand at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, as well as across many industries, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
