TPP to Present Big Data Symposium

New Leadership

The Patuxent Partnership will hold a Big Data Symposium, “Harnessing the Power of Data to Enable Warfighting Superiority,” from 8 am to 4 pm Thursday, Sept. 1.

The proposed panel discussions could include Big Data Opportunities for NAVAIR, Solutions From the Outside – Big Data Logistics, and Creating a Vision of What’s Possible With Big Data.

Confirmed speakers include:

RADM Michael Manazir, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Warfare Systems (OPNAV) N9

Capt. Mike Abreu, SECDEF Corporate Fellow at Google

Bill Franks, Chief Analytics Officer, Teradata and author of “The Analytics Revolution: How to Improve Your Business by Making Analytics Operational in the Big Data Era”

Panel discussions:

Big Data: A Game Changer for the Navy panelists include:

RADM (sel) Carl Chebi, program manager for Air Warfare, PMA-298, Program Executive Officer for Tactical Aircraft Programs

Leslie Taylor, Executive Director Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division / Deputy Assistant Commander for Test and Evaluation Naval Air Systems Command

Paul Reynolds, Senior Director, Information Architect, US Department of Homeland Security

Panelists from NAVSEA and SPAWAR TBD

Applying Outside Solutions to Big Data Challenges:
