SMECO Warns of Scam Calls
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has received reports of scam calls, related to the installation of smart meters in homes. The co-op wants to warn customer-members to be safe and vigilant, especially at home.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative customer-members who would like to learn more about smart meters are invited to an open house Feb. 23 at SMECO’s Hughesville Office at 15035 Burnt Store Road. The open house will be held from 4 to 7 pm.

The first open house will be held from 4 to 7 pm Jan. 26, 2017, at the Calvert Library at 850 Costley Way in Prince Frederick.
Smart Meter Installation Ramps Up in 2017
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has begun a campaign of smart meter installation across the region, with the help of contractor Utility Partners of America.
