Nighttime Work on Solomons Bridge Through Late May
Routine maintenance on the Route 4 Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge will begin May 11, 2026, and continue until later in the month, weather permitting.

The Maryland State Highway Administration will begin routine structural and maintenance work on the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge at the Calvert/St. Mary’s County line beginning Jan. 18. The nighttime work will continue through late February, weather permitting.
