Army Ousts Civilians for Tech Advisers
ArmySec Dan Driscoll terminated the 115-member slate of civilian advisers to clear way to “focus on leveraging civilian expertise in strategic communications, advanced technology, innovation and digital transformation.” The century-old Civilian Aide Program was considered the secretary’s eyes and ears in communities across the country.
New Names for DoD and Veterans Day?
DefSec Pete Hegseth wants a new name for the Defense Department. He wants to call it the War Department. And President Donald Trump wants to rename the federal holiday Veterans Day “Victory Day for World War I Day” and create another holiday to commemorate World War II on May 8.
