Sponge Bob Welcomes Halloween Sale
Halloween is always an important time of year for Sponge Bob, keeping guard upon Dyson Building Center on Route 5 in Great Mills, MD. It is his season to flaunt.
It’s the same at Dyson Building Center, taking the multi-generational, family holiday as an opportunity to welcome friends and neighbors into their local all-supplies store.
Dyson Building Center is a multi-generational, family owned business, growing from a sawmill operation begun nearly a century ago. The business grew along with the community. Today it is still a community gathering place. But Dyson Building Center has grown into a local, full-inventoried hardware store, lumberyard, and specialty store for hard-to-find items ranging from household goods and supplies, through commercial fishing and RV supplies, and including unique lawn furniture and decor.
Halloween marks the perfect time for a sale: warm weather is ending and the holidays are approaching. Check out the flyer on Dyson Building Center’s Facebook page. And stop in on Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31, for free candy! (There’s coffee and lollipops every day, that’s just how they are at Dyson’s. And expect some sale prices on need-right-now items such as leaf rakes and winter gloves. And lots more.
Sponge Bob likes the upcoming holiday season, too. It’s another chance to flaunt his growing costume closet.
Here are a few remembrances of his early days, when he was pretty new to the neighborhood and wasn’t sure how they’d warm to his costuming. He brought his own hammer and saw, and quickly fit right in with the professional and the do-it-yourselfers who frequent Dyson Building Center.
To check out how well drivers traveling the long, northbound hill of Route 5 like his apparel today, visit the Dyson Building Center Facebook page linked above to hear from some of his fans. Or drive on over and see for yourself.
Beginning next month, in this space, Dyson Building Center will launch a Sponge Bob Retrospective: From the Beginning. Avid fans may want to begin gathering their own Retrospectives of Sponge Bob @ Dyson Building Center, to fill in any LexLeader gaps.
And you know what to expect as Christmas approaches.
