Patuxent River Naval Air Museum is celebrating its new building with the 2015 Inaugural Dinner on Nov. 6, 2015, hosted by the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum Association.

The event is set for 6 to 11 pm Nov. 6 at the museum’s new building. Invited guests include NASA Administrator Charles F. Bolden Jr., and Vice Admiral Paul A. Grosklags, Commander of Naval Air Systems.

There will be a special presentation for LCDR Harry Errington, USN (Ret). Mr. Errington will be honored and recognized for his many years of selfless volunteer work at the air museum and will become the first recipient of the Gabe Gabrelcik Meritorious Volunteer Service Award. This inaugural award will be presented by Ms. Joyce Gabrelcik in honor of both Gabe’s and Joyce’s support and leadership throughout the history of the museum. The Gabe Gabrelcik Meritorious Volunteer Service Award will be a permanent feature in the new building.

The menu includes a choice of entrée from Pork Tenderloin in a Brandy Cream Sauce, Chicken Chesapeake with Lump Crab, and Vegan Portobello Stack, plus Apple Caramel Pie for dessert.

Attire is semi-formal. Advance registration is required by RSVP. Tickets are $175 for an individual and $300 for a couple. Payment can be made with credit card, check or cash. Please call Mari at 301-863-1900 from 8 am to 1 pm Tuesday through Friday for payment information.

The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum is a 501(c)(3) organization and registered Maryland non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Patuxent River Naval Air Museum Association is a social network with more than 375 members. The museum is supported by the community. It is open to the public with admission fees of $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors. Kids younger than 6 are admitted free. Donations are always welcome. The museum is located at 22156 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD. The museum is open 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 pm Sundays.

The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum Association is a group of people dedicated to helping the museum raise money and continue its mission of making Navy displays available to the public.
