Pax River Museum Unveils “Salute to Naval Aviation”

The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum has unveiled its new Scouts of America Showcase to display various portraits of the Scouts throughout the decades as well as photographs capturing the accomplishments of current scouts. But, the exhibit’s centerpiece is Dan Ropp’s painting “Salute to Naval Aviation.”

STEM Students: JSHS Deadline Is Nov. 18

JSHS Virtual Mentoring is available for high school students pursuing original STEM research with plans to compete at a Regional JSHS Symposium held at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, March 4, 2023. Locally sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership, JSHS connects students with STEM professionals to receive online mentoring on their projects, as well as education and STEM career paths.

MD Record Smooth Dogfish Caught in Atlantic

Fay Ganster of Reading, Pennsylvania has been officially recognized by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as the new state record holder for the Atlantic Division with an 18-pound smooth dogfish she caught off the coast of Ocean City on October 22.
