Networking Event for Tomorrow’s Leaders

A Southern Maryland Young Professionals forum, networking event, and workshop will be held from 4:30 to 7pm July 31 in Charlotte Hall. The Patuxent Partnership is one of the sponsors for the event.
The free networking event and human-centered design thinking workshop will be facilitated by Peak Performance Solutions to uncover and spotlight what young professionals want and need to grow and prosper in Southern Maryland.
It will be held at the Sgt. Major Robert V. Sluss Memorial Hall at 30045 Business Center Drive in Charlotte Hall, MD. Doors open at 4pm.
Other sponsors include Leadership Southern Maryland, KBR, St. Mary’s Young Professionals, Calvert County Young Professionals Network, Charles County Young Professionals Group, College of Southern Maryland Thomas V. “Mike” Miller Jr. Center for Leadership, and the United Way of Southern Maryland.

About The Patuxent Partnership
The Patuxent Partnership is a nonprofit member organization that fosters collaboration between government, industry, and academia to advance education through STEM-based initiatives; to advance technology through speaker programs, forums, and networking; to advance science and technology transfer through the exchange of ideas, information, and data related to technologies; and to increase workforce development through an array of initiatives.
SoMD 2030 is focused on building a STEM pipeline, increasing career opportunities. This collaborative effort is funded by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aviation Division. The Patuxent Partnership is accomplishing the work under an agreement with NAWCAD, working with St. Mary’s College of Maryland, College of Southern Maryland, area public school systems, as well as other schools, industry, and NAWCAD. SoMD 2030 connects talented students with paid apprenticeships and internships.
