Men Honored for Saving a Life at Pax River

On Tuesday, Sen. Roy Dyson and the St. Mary’s County Commissioners honored Harold Willard and Charles Jacobs for administering CPR and saving Rusty Medford’s life at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River drill hall Feb. 27, 2012.

Pax River released a statement from Medford, who was unable to attend the proclamation ceremony. He said, “I have taken my wife and son to Ireland to celebrate my new lease on life. … Please express my sincere appreciation to both Mr. Willard and Mr. Jacobs for saving my life. Because of their quick response and exceptional efforts, I am able to live a normal life.”
