Discover Naval Aviation with a visit to the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum on August 16, 2014 for the bi-monthly Meet the Airplane! This month the P-3 Orion is featured.

The program begins at noon and runs until 5 pm.

In addition to the featured P-3 Orion, the museum will also celebrate the end of the summer with a cookout.

View the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum’s exhibits and discuss the versatile P-3 Orion aircraft with an amazing Panel of Experts. Panel members will gather for a presentation at 2 pm in the main exhibit hall.

There will be special activities for children – building paper airplanes, face painting, carrier landings, and radar games.

There will be 50/50 raffle drawings at 1:30 & 3 pm, so don’t forget to buy your tickets while you are there.

Delicious grilled burgers and hot dogs will be available from the NAS Patuxent River First Class Association. Adult beverages, soda, and desserts will be available as well.

An Aerocature print by Hank Caruso will also be raffled. In addition to entry into the Hank Caruso Print Raffle, each raffle ticket gives you a discount at Mattedi Gallery.
