All licensed horse stables are invited to join the Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB), a program within the Maryland Department of Agriculture, for an information session about how to become an Equine Experience Center – a place where people who have little or no experience with horses can learn about these magnificent animals and all aspects of horsemanship.

In addition to promoting the horse industry by enticing more people to interact and spend time with horses, the Experience Centers will also provide more opportunities for stables to increase their revenue and profiles. The program is entirely free and voluntary for organizations, but they will be required to meet certain standards.

The information session, open to all Maryland licensed stables, will be held on Wednesday, February 5, at the Jaycees Community Center, Waldorf from 11 am to 1 pm. There is no charge to attend but registration is required. Lunch will be included.
