JefClarkArt Exhibit Opens at Cafe
Local photographer Jeffrey Clark launched a major exhibit at the Cafe des Artistes restaurant over the past weekend as part of the First Friday slate of activities in Leonardtown.
The exhibit, which encompasses some 20-25 shots, features flowers and plants and various outdoors scenes in commemoration of spring and Mother’s Day.
“There are flowers on the walls of the restaurant from St. George Island, Cape Town, South Africa, Amish markets in Charlotte Hall, Key West, Florida and the coast of Southern California,” Jeff Clark explained. “We tried to get a good burst of spring colors from a variety of locations to highlight the exhibit. And, of course, there is more – local tobacco barns, Breton Bay, red barns in a snowy field near Piney Point, an historic schoolhouse outside Leonardtown and the great sunsets of St. George Island. More than that, too. So, come have [a great] lunch or dinner at the Cafe and check out the photographs. I think you will like them … and I know you will love Cafe des Artistes.”
The photos on display at the Cafe des Artistes are representative of those found on Jeff’s web site: JefClarkArt.wordpress.com and are available for purchase at a modest price.
