Southern Maryland corporate executives who want to learn more about exporting products or services can take advantage of a three-day training program called ExporTech, offered early in 2016 in St. Mary’s County, with support from the U.S. Department of Commerce and The Patuxent Partnership.

ExporTech, an acceleration program that teaches participants how to achieve profitable growth in international sales, is scheduled for Feb. 10, March 9 and April 13.

Space in the ExporTech training program is limited to 10 companies. Applications are due December 15, 2015. To be considered for the program, apply directly to Paul Matino at [email protected].

In April 2015, The Patuxent Partnership jointly hosted the program “Want to become an exporter? Learn about Export Opportunities,” with the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Matino was the keynote speaker. Mr. Matino is an international trade specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, specializing in the aerospace and defense industries and is an expert in the field.

TPP urges St. Mary’s County executives to take advantage of this incredible opportunity, which will help give participants the knowledge to grow their companies.

ExporTech provides a systematic process for entering or expanding in global markets that saves companies the time and labor of navigating the international growth process. ExporTech:

  • Connects participating company executives with the best international business experts in the Southern Maryland region
  • Assists in the development of a peer-reviewed export growth plan in 16 weeks
  • Generates measurable results for committed C-level participants
  • Involves a unique combination of innovative group sessions and individualized coaching

The Patuxent Partnership works with government, industry and academia on initiatives in science and technology, hosts programs of interest to NAVAIR and the broader Department of Defense community, and supports workforce development including education initiatives and professional development.
