Syria, TPP Lecture on Arab TumultThe political landscape in the Middle East has drastically changed the past three years. However, the role of the Arab people has been overlooked, says Shibley Telhami, the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland, College Park. Mr. Telhami will describe how their lives have been affected at a talk at 5 pm Wednesday, Nov. 13, at St. Mary’s Hall, St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Following the lecture, called “From Egypt, to Syria, to the Arab-Israeli Conflict: Understanding Tumult in the Middle East,you can purchase a copy of his book,“The World Through Arab Eyes,” and have it signed by the author.

“We are pleased to have a speaker with Dr. Telhami’s level of experience. His lecture will provide a unique, and often unheard, perspective on conflict in the Middle East,” says Bonnie Green, Executive Director, The Patuxent Partnership, sponsor of the lecture along with the Center for the Study of Democracy..
