Due to phenomenal support from community partners, the College of Southern Maryland has been able to launch lacrosse at the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) collegiate level in Southern Maryland, with a men’s team set to play this spring to be followed by a women’s team in spring 2015.

A major supporter, Quality Built Homes Inc., recently presented a $5,000 check to benefit scholarships and the launch of women’s lacrosse at the college.

“Our goal is to begin recruiting in 2014 in order to stand up a NJCAA women’s lacrosse team for the 2015 season,” said Lead Director of Student Life and Athletics Michelle Ruble.
