County Seeking Legislative Proposals

Leonardtown, MD – The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County are accepting proposals from the public for the development of the Board’s 2015 Legislative Package. Commissioner-approved proposals will be forwarded to the St. Mary’s County Delegation to the Maryland General Assembly. Only those proposals specific to St. Mary’s County can be considered.

Citizens are requested to send written comments and suggestions to George R. Sparling, County Attorney, P.O. Box 653, 41770 Baldridge Street, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. The deadline for submissions is October 10, 2014.

The Commissioners will review submitted proposals at a legislative workshop during their regular business meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. The Commissioners will hold a joint public meeting with the St. Mary’s County Delegation on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room inside the Chesapeake Building. Commissioners are tentatively scheduled to discuss and vote on the legislative proposals during their business meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
