Comfort Inn Honored by Toys for Tots for Participation

The Patuxent River Detachment 1305 of the Marine Corps League honored Comfort Inn and Suites as well as other Lexington Park, Maryland businesses last week for their participation in the annual Toys for Tots campaign.
The campaign collected around 15,000 toys to give to needy families at Christmas last year, enough to give each child ten toys.
Commandant Jonas Schommer expressed his gratitude to Comfort Inn and Bay District Volunteer Fire Department for providing drop-off sites for toy and money donations while attending the meeting of the Lexington Park Business and Community Association.
Mr. Schommer also recognized Millison Development Company for providing spaces – free of charge – to store and distribute the toys. He said he is currently distributing certificates of appreciation to all of the local businesses and groups who participated in the program.
