The Patuxent Partnership invites our Members and the regional community to an update on the UCAS-D program with Capt. Jaime Engdahl, Program Manager for Unmanned Combat Air Systems (PMA-268).

The Navy UCAS-D effort includes design, development, and integration of the X-47B UCAS, leading to tests and demonstrations on an aircraft carrier at-sea. The main goal is to prove that the tailless unmanned X-47B aircraft can safely operate from an aircraft carrier. Two X-47B air vehicles are currently being tested at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

Bonnie Green, TPP’s Executive Director, said “UCAS is a critical program, and we look forward to Capt. Engdahl’s comments.”

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 14. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. with check-in and coffee. The program starts at 7:30 a.m. and concludes by 9 a.m.

The briefing will be held at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, Building 2, Center Hall, 44219 Airport Road, California, MD 20619.

The public is cordially invited to attend. This is a no-cost program. Seating is limited. Advance registration is required to guarantee your seat.
