Bowie State Criminal Justice BS/BA at SMHEC

The Bowie State University College of Professional Studies is bringing a BS Completion degree in Criminal Justice to be held at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center.
The Bowie State University B.S. in Criminal Justice Bachelor’s completion program is starts Spring Semester 2015. An Information Session is offered on the program Oct. 6, 5:30-6:30 pm. Southern Maryland police forces are interested in a completion program in the region such as the Bowie State Criminal Justice bachelor degree .
It is the goal of the College and its Department of Behavioral Sciences and Human Services are committed to providing students enrolled in the Bowie State Criminal Justice BS/BA program will receive cutting edge disciplinary skills and tools.
The graduates of the program will be expected to take these skills and tools back to their communities, their employment, and their families as well–rounded professionals. Most of these graduates are expected to be employed in the Washington DC/Maryland area where they will be serving their communities by keeping the justice system functioning smoothly and giving the system needed diversity.
As criminal investigators,Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents, National Security Agency (NSA) agents, and other criminal justice professionals, Bowie State University graduates serve and protect the national and local interest of the region, thereby contributing to the region’s economic development.
Bowie State University is participating member of the Maryland Consortium of Criminal Justice College Educators and as a member has signed an articulation agreement with the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions. This agreement allows every graduate of a Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission certified Police Academy the opportunity to receive up to 15 Criminal Justice program credits toward graduation from a participating College.
