Free Touchdown Furniture
Now here’s a neighborly Super Bowl chance, offered by Raley’s Home Furnishings in Lexington Park. Perhaps it’s a long shot, but the winner could end up watching the Big Game on furniture that turns free during a touchdown.
Here’s how it works:
All customers who make a purchase now through 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 at either Raley’s Home Furnishings store – Holly Lane in Waldorf or Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, Maryland are eligible.
Make a purchase, a payment and sign the appropriate paperwork at point of purchase. If the opening kickoff of the Big Game is returned for a touchdown, your furniture payment is free.
That’s right. If the opening kickoff is returned for a touchdown, the payment you made from now until February 5, 2012 is rebated.
The touchdown must be returned by the receiving team without any flags, penalties, etc. in accordance with NFL rules of football.
It happened in 2007, at the contest in Miami between the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, a game played entirely in the rain. Bears’ return man Devin Hester ran the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown. This gave Chicago the earliest lead in Super Bowl history. But the Colts prevailed, winning 29-17.
Whoever wins this Sunday, you could be the Raley’s winner.
