The latest technologies in wound healing will soon be available in Leonardtown at the new MedStar Health Wound Healing Center.
Treatment of non-healing wounds is a growing need in this region and a growing medical demand. Among the new technologies now available at the MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital campus are two hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
The chambers allow patients to breathe pure oxygen which quickens the body’s ability to heal itself. Dr. John Roach explains how it works.
