A New Space for Families, Community to Connect

Families and community members will now have a new place to gather, explore, and grow together. Pure Play Every Day will open its new STEAM Room in Waldorf, a hands-on space designed to bring people together through the power of play.

Created with both children and caregivers in mind, the STEAM Room offers an inviting environment where curiosity is sparked, creativity is encouraged, and meaningful connections can flourish.

Through interactive experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, families can engage side by side—turning everyday moments into opportunities for discovery and bonding.

“This space was designed for the community,” said Patty Stine, executive director. “We wanted to create a place where families feel welcome, where children can learn through joyful play, and where connections between people grow naturally.”

Located at 2781 Old Washington Road in Waldorf, the STEAM Room is part of a shared space with Future Leaders II: Inspired Education. The partnership strengthens a shared vision of supporting early childhood development while building a connected and engaged community.

To celebrate the opening, Pure Play Every Day will host a grand opening event on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
The event will include an open house from noon to 7pm and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30pm.

Community members, families, and educators are invited to attend and experience the space firsthand.

Guests can expect hands-on activities, opportunities to connect with local families and educators, and a welcoming environment designed for all ages.

The nonprofit Pure Play Every Day’s mission is rooted in connecting people through play—not only for children’s development, but for building stronger families and healthier communities.
