From pottery to glass to Zentangle, there are many adult classes being offered this winter at Annmarie Garden , as well as multiple children’s classes. For the adults, there is a six-class pottery series, and single-day classes for intro to fuzed glass class, Zentangle, intro to glass bead making, and textured silver ring.

Pottery Basics is a six-class series taught Wednesday evenings by Sarah Houde. Beginners will learn how to make simple forms on the wheels as well as slab construction techniques. Students with experience will work on more advanced projects. Each student will come away with an assortment of pottery that is safe for dishwasher, oven and microwave use. The last class ends with a raku firing.

Classes begin February 4 and run through March 26 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, and will not be held on February 26 and March 5. Member cost is $215 and non-member cost is $225 with a materials fee of $15 due to the instructor for raku materials. If you need a little extra practice, additional open studio days will be held February 22 and March 2, from 10 am to 4 pm at no additional cost. Advanced registration required, please call (410) 326-4640.

Zentangle is a meditative drawing style using structured patterns in a mindful and relaxing way to kindle creativity, build self-confidence, and create beautiful artwork. This class is offered February 8, from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Take the kids to Mom’s Club on February 3 or 17, Play in Clay with fairies, dragons and wizards on February 15th, or check out some renaissance art on February 17.
