Waltz Into Watercolor at Annmarie

Get inspired by the colors of fall and attend the Waltz Into Watercolor workshop at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center in Solomons, Maryland.

This two-day class meets Monday and Wednesday, Oct. 17 and 19, from noon to 4 pm. Instructor Mary Blumberg will help students learn to capture the qualities of light with watercolors.

On the first day of classes, students will focus on a floral still life while exploring how to capture light and shadow with a paint brush loaded with watercolor. On the second day, students will focus on their own photos and drawings to on the light that surrounds the images.

Ms. Blumberg is an accomplished watercolorist. She is a past president of the Calvert Artist Guild and her work has been featured in regional, state, and local shows, including Artsfest at Annmarie. A selection of her work is available in the Annmarie gift shop.

Classes will be held in the Studio School, Classroom 1. Tuition for the class is $100, or $95 for members. The class is at the intermediate level. Students can get a supply list when they register for the class.
