Voices of Service to Celebrate MLK Legacy

MLK

Voices of Service, a singing quartet featuring retired military veterans Ron Henry, Christal Rheams, Jason Hanna, and Caleb Green will perform at St. Mary’s College of Maruland to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event will replace the annual MLK Prayer Breakfast for this year only.

The free public concert will be held from 7 to 9pm January 15, 2025, at the Nancy R. & Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center. Registration is required. RSVP here.

The members of VOS have been singing together since 2012. Their journey and purpose reached a new dimension in 2019 as they achieved a top 5 finish on Season 14 of “America’s Got Talent.” The group influenced global awareness of the struggle of our service members, veterans, their families, and people from all walks of life who’ve endured visible and invisible scars.

Their influence depicts the excellence within military and veteran communities and continues to inspire the universe through music.

Be of service to the community by donating nonperishable food, unopened packs of diapers, baby wipes, baby wash and lotion, diaper rash cream, baby formula. A collection box will be in the lobby of the Dodge Performing Arts Center.

The event is being sponsored by St. Mary’s College of Maryland, St. Mary’s County Branch NAACP 7025, St. Mary’s County Public Schools, College of Southern Maryland, Ivy & Pearls of So. Md. Community Charities, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Nu Zeta Omega Chapter, Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions, and St. Mary’s Human Relations Commission.
