Visit SMR Columbus Day: School’s In, Gov’t Holiday

Posted for St. Mary’s Ryken High School

With autumn weekends just as hectic as the school and work seek, St. Mary’s Ryken High added a Special Information Session and will open its doors for campus tours during a school day, Monday, Oct. 13, in addition to its regular open house on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Oct. 13 is Columbus Day, a government holiday but not a school holiday for St. Mary’s Ryken, making it a perfect day for you to visit the campus for a special Information Session from 8:30-10 am.

This is a regular school day for SMR and classes will be in session. Administrators and faculty will be on hand to answer your questions and to give tours of the campus.

St. Mary’s Ryken High School will still hold its regular fall Open House on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 12-3 pm.

Both events are free and open to the public.

St. Mary’s Ryken is one of 13 Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools in the United States. The years a student spends at a Xaverian school are marked by college preparatory, challenging academics, and rewarding opportunities for service. Students form lifelong friendships, develop the camaraderie of athletics, and share celebrations of faith.

St. Mary’s Ryken prepares students to take their place in a world that is increasingly global and continually changing.

The school is located at 22600 Camp Calvert Road in Leonardtown, Maryland. To learn more about the enhanced curriculum and the 1:1 iPad program, please visit www.smrhs.org or call the Admissions Office at 301-373-4183.
