Visit Beacon of Hope at Open House

OpenHouse

Have you heard of Beacon of Hope, but you’re not really sure what it is? Or maybe you know exactly what this Walden program is, and would like to stop by and greet the staff. Either way, the Beacon of Hope Holiday Open House is the perfect time to visit.

The informative event will be held from noon to 2 pm Dec. 21, 2015, at Beacon of Hope of Walden, 21770 FDR Boulevard, Lexington Park, Md.

You can stop by for delicious holiday treats and a chance to visit with community friends. There will be a gift for everyone who stops by. Any time during the two-hour open house will be fine. This is a great chance to meet Beacon of Hope staff and tour the facility.

Beacon of Hope is more than a recovery facility – it is a community center of sorts for anyone older than 18 who is interested in health and recovery. The facility is a meeting place for recovery and Lifespring meetings, as well as the location of several unaffiliated 12-step meeting groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous and more.

The community center staff plan fun events, outings, and activities. Beacon of Hope includes a computer lab, SMART Recovery Friends and Family Weekly Meetings, the Garden of Life Survivors Support Group, Mental Health First Aid, and so much more. All of these programs are part of the overall Walden Behavioral Health family of programs and facilities.

Walden has locations in both Charles and St. Mary’s counties, offering many different mental health and recovery plans, with support that can start with the 24-hour hotline and even includes family support to help you get your life back on track. Walden takes a collaborative and whole-person approach to help each person live up to his or her highest potential.

Any time you need help, call the 24-hour hotline at (301) 863-6661.
