Defense News reports that from its start in 2010 to the present, US Cyber Command has grown to more than 6,000 employees, with a budget of roughly a half a billion dollars. This includes 133 teams delegated to the Cyber Mission Force and serving as the joint command over four service cyber forces, all of which have their own headquarters.

Panel topics include “DoD Cyber Initiatives” – People, Places and Products; “Gone Phishing” – Protecting our Networks; “What’s in Your Toolbox?” – tools and methods for protecting our platforms; and “How to Get Cyber Smart” – Workforce Development. Chris Inglis, former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency and Distinguished Visiting Professor in Cyber Security Studies at the US Naval Academy, will be the afternoon keynote speaker.

Speakers, moderators, and panelists cover a wide array of cyber positions and activities within DoD and industry. Representatives from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), U.S. Army, Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Purdue University, University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and industry partners will be speaking. Exhibitors, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Intel Security, RPI Group, Smartronix, AVIAN LLC, Unanet, RSA, College of Southern Maryland, and UMBC, will showcase cyber technologies and innovations as well as strategies for workforce development.
