Teens Learn Stained Glass at Annmarie

Stained Glass

Teenagers who want to learn a craft, a skill, and an art all at the same time should come to the Teen Stained Glass Workshop at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center. The class will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 pm Aug. 9 through Aug. 11, 2016. The three-class series costs $75 for members of Annmarie Garden and $80 for non-members. There will also be an $8 materials fee due at the first class.

Instructor Leza Hepler will teach teen students how to grind, cut, foil, and solder stained glass. The students will design and construct their own stained glass masterpieces. Anyone who attends the class should wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and pull their hair back out of their face.

Ms. Hepler is an expert in stained glass. She started her career as an artist, working for McMow Art Glass, which she said is one of the best companies in the country. She spent 22 years working as a manager, window builder, and teacher. Ms. Hepler teaches stained glass to beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Everyone will be able to learn something from this expert instructor.

Outside of teaching, Ms. Hepler sells retails supplies for stained glass and can be hired to build one-of-a-kind custom windows by request.
