Mixed Crab Verdict for Summer ’21

The past winter was the Chesapeake Bay’s fourth-lowest crab count since record-keeping began in 1990, and worst even showing of juvenile crabs. This might be offset by a robust female population, if they can produce a stronger crop of juveniles when they breed later this year.
