Support SMCR in Family-Friendly 5K

Piney_Point_LighthouseThis Saturday, Oct. 24,  join the Medically Oriented Gym in their first  MOG Jog, a family-friendly 5K supporting the Southern Maryland Community Resources.

Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to enjoy the scenic 5K route along Lighthouse Road in Piney Point, Maryland. Register here.

The race/fun-run is wheelchair-friendly and open to runners, walkers and rollers. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female runners as well as the top racers in several age categories for each event.

There will be T-shirts, healthy snacks, and other goodies for all.

When:         Saturday, October 24, 2015, 7 – 11 am

Who:          Runners of all ages and abilities
Cost:          Your $25 donation for adults ($30 on race day) benefits SMCR and is tax-deductible.

SMCR is a non-profit organization that promotes the inclusion of individuals with developmental differences within the community. SMCR advocates for individuals with special needs and promotes social recreational and educational opportunities where they can contribute in a positive and meaningful way.

Race Day Schedule:

7 – 7:45 —   Registration/Check-in

7:45 – 8 — Race Line-up

8  —             5K Runners, 5K Walkers, 5K Rollers

10 –2          Award Ceremony
*All runners must be finished by 11 AM
