Summer Camps Registration Opens March 3

Registration for St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation & Parks summer camps and school age care programs for the 2025-26 school year will open at 9am March 3.

Summer camps will operate from June 23 – August 15, serving children aged 4 through rising 10th-graders. A variety of traditional day camps, sports camps, sports academies, and therapeutic camps are offered.

Traditional day camps will operate Monday through Friday from 7am to 5:30pm and will be held at Hollywood, Carver, and Margaret Brent recreation centers. Sports camps will be held at a variety of park and St. Mary’s public school locations.

Camp Discovery, a therapeutic recreation summer camp, will run in July (location to be determined). Camp Discovery’s staff and programs give campers a summer filled with fun activities, the development of positive peer friendships, and a therapeutic learning experience.

Registration for school age care to secure your child’s spot for the 2025-26 school year will require a one-time deposit per family.

School age care will be offered at Chesapeake Public Charter School, Duke Elementary School, Evergreen Elementary School, Lettie Dent Elementary School, and Leonardtown Elementary School. The program at Hollywood Recreation Center for Hollywood Elementary School is scheduled to re-open for the 2025-26.
