Steny Hoyer Wants Your Support

Congressman Hoyer believes that a Member of Congress’s highest duty is to keep America safe, strengthen our national security, and protect our homeland from attack. He is a leader in Congress on national security issues and has been the lead advocate for Southern Maryland’s military installations at the federal level.

Hoyer has worked closely with the Southern Maryland Naval Alliance, the Indian Head Defense Alliance, the Patuxent Partnership, the Chamber of Commerce and local officials to ensure that these three military installations in the Fifth District are protected.  He regularly meets with leading decision makers at the Pentagon as part of his longstanding and ongoing efforts to educate our nation’s military leaders about the work being done at Southern Maryland’s defense installations and to make clear the vital role they play in keeping our homeland safe and secure and creating jobs for the local economy.
