St. Mary’s Gov’t Announces Early Closure for Feb. 11

St. Mary’s County is under a winter storm warning beginning today, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 1pm and continuing through the morning of Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Snowfall totals for St. Mary’s are expected between 5 and 7 inches, with no significant ice accumulation expected.
Due to anticipated inclement weather, St. Mary’s County government administrative offices will close early, at noon on Tuesday, February 11.
This closure also includes:
- Senior Activity Centers (Garvey, Loffler & Northern) with no home-delivered meals
Please note the Memory Café launch, scheduled for Wednesday at 2pm at the Garvey Senior Activity Center has been canceled.
- Department of Recreation & Parks programs, facilities, museums, and golf course
- St. Mary’s Transit System (STS)
- Convenience Centers and the St. Andrew’s Landfill
- St. Mary’s County Animal Adoption & Resources Center
- St. Mary’s County Health Department
- St. Mary’s County Libraries (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown & Lexington Park)
Additionally, the afternoon budget work session for the St. Mary’s County commissioners has been canceled and planned agenda items rescheduled for discussion during the session on Tuesday, February 25. The commissioners’ business meeting will take place as scheduled prior to early closure
