St. Mary’s College Presents Big Band Jazz Music

On Friday, March 1, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Jazz Band and Combo will celebrate the Golden Age of the Big Bands. The Jazz Band, led by Don Stapleson, will feature the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller.

Former Jazz Band director and St. Mary’s College alumnus Rick Humphreys will be the guest soloist.

The concert, starting at 8 p.m., will be held in the Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary’s Hall (18952 E. Fisher Road St. Mary’s City, MD 20686). This event is free and open to the public.

    My wife & I have been to many of your concerts @ St. Mary’s College & used to see some of the small concerts that you & your students provided in the lower level of a building not far from The Summer Concert Series were preformed . We will forever be two of your fans. We recently saw some of your performances on the Anacostia Delta “ The Legacy of DC’s TeleMasters DVD featuring Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan , yourself Joe Martone plays
    Now @ Charles Street Brasserie on Solomons Island. We wanted to be sure you have seen this production.
